Country singer/songwriter, Sasha McVeigh, has announced her UK & Ireland tour co-headlining with American singer/songwriter, Sonia Leigh featuring Irish band The rising.
To her credit, Sasha has just finished recording her album in Nashville; a true privilege for any country music artist and, in April 2014, was asked, by The Academy of Country Music, to perform at The ACM Award Kick-Off Concert in Las Vegas, with Hunter Hayes, Cole Swindell and David Nail.
Sasha is highly popular in America and will be appearing on the main stage at major festivals throughout in summer 2015 alongside some of the biggest stars in the genre.
Sonia Leigh currently has a single, “When We Are Alone”, released to radio in the US which is being played extensively by Sirius XM The Highway (worldwide) and is on a radio tour in UK at the moment. Leigh has performed at many of America’s legendary venues and amphitheaters including Red Rocks, The Gorge, and The Ryman Auditorium to name a few. She has shared the stage and garnered praise from some of the biggest names in music including Eric Church, Kid Rock, Jake Owen, Loretta Lynn, Amos Lee, Uncle Kracker, Blackberry Smoke, Billy Currington, Willie Nelson, Brantley Gilbert, Eli Young Band, Kenny Chesney, Little Big Town, and more.
Recently she released her single, “Put It In Your Pocket,” which received accolades in the industry and rose to number 17 on SiriusXM The Highway Hot 45 Chart. She co-wrote the number 1 singles, “Sweet Annie” and “Goodbye in Her Eyes,” on The Zac Brown Band’s Grammy Award-winning record “Uncaged.” In 2011, Leigh released “1978 December” on Zac Brown’s Southern Ground Records which debuted at number 15 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers Albums Chart and peaked at number 43 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart. Her 2011 single, “My Name Is Money” peaked at number 45 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart.
